I can tell I'm going to be lousy at this endeavor It took me forever just to see where I needed to go to compose a new article. So, to celebrate the ridiculously humid weather we're having, I made margaritas this evening for John and me. We downed them with some tilapia and spinach and felt pretty good as we ate!!
New project. I'm purging since Monday the 27th by throwing at least one thing away or putting it in the donate pile from each room in the house. this includes the bathrooms. Now, it's going to seem as if we have an enormous house and it is in some ways but it's because we opened up a duplex into a single family home and now have six bedrooms, five bathrooms, two kitchens, and two living rooms. So that constitutes 15 things a day I'm getting rid of. Hallelujah! Which reminds me, I need to practice for worship for tomorrow night's church school. Music to muse by!! Love, C

Birthdays and Memorials
Today, September 25th, helped me to get creative. First, I needed to make a fruit bouquet for my granddaughter's 6th birthday party, not too difficult as I had done the same thing last Saturday for my grandson's 4th birthday party. Still it was time consuming, and I couldn't help noticing how blasted hot it was getting.
The party was great fun and featured the Lizard Wizards with their turtles, frogs, skinks(really!), snakes, even an anaconda and a baby alligator. The birthday girl was delighted and was chosen first for everything, even 6 birthday kisses from the skink (with a blue tongue, no less.)
Following the party, I came straight home to attend the memorial service for a friend and neighbor who passed away on September 3rd at the age of 83. Her son had invited me to play the piano if I wanted to, so I brought some music over and played some old ballads, "It Had to Be You", "I Love Paris", etc. as people came in the front door. At the party, some of my former pupils were there who had also been neighbors and the thought came back to me that a blog would be a great way to reach some of my former and present pupils and hear how they're doing. This is all in preparation for a memoir of sorts to have people read as I approach my 70th birthday. Of course, it's not until May 22, 2011 but these things take time do they not. Soooo--
if any of my former or present pupils feel like contributing a memory of taking piano or voice or a class from me, I would love to hear from you. I will attempt to get e-mail addresses from your parents or friends to let you know that this is where you can add a word or two. Sincerely, Claire Tschirky
